Tyler Selig

Tyler is a lifelong gamer, and just a fan of art in general. He still feels sad about Peck leaving his town in Animal Crossing: New Leaf and I guess you could say his entire life from now on is a journey to find his long lost friend.

He is the owner of this blog, and when he rates games, he has a system. Yes, he has put more thought into how he rates games than anything else because his memory is terrible and he has to index everything. That doesn't mean it's an exact science and he doesn't follow it 100% all the time, but the basic rundown is this:

- 50% on more objective matters such as how good the game actually is.
- 50% on how much he enjoys it.

It seems silly, but just because a game is technically brilliant doesn't mean you actually enjoy it. Tyler can appreciate a game like Call of Duty for what it is but it doesn't mean he wants to play it. Roger Ebert said you should rate a movie based on what you believe it's trying to accomplish, and Tyler certainly tries to do that, but at the same time, if he doesn't gel with a game, he'll let you know. That's why he can respect a game to death but still give it a, say, 7.
